How FlightPayout works

From a free eligibility check to a claim you send yourself, here is exactly what happens, what you pay, and who pays you.
FlightPayout How It Works - Automated Flight Compensation Letter Dashboard

Five steps, one flat fee

Most claim companies take 35% to 50% of your payout. We do not. You pay FlightPayout a single £9.99 fee, and you keep 100% of whatever the airline pays you.
STEP 1

The flight check

You enter your route and flight details in our wizard. It takes less than 60 seconds, the check is free, and you do not pay anything to find out whether your flight qualifies.
STEP 2

An accurate result before you pay

Our engine measures the great-circle distance between your departure airport and your final destination, then applies the fixed UK261 and EU261 amounts and time limits to your disruption. You see what you can expect to be owed before you pay a penny.
STEP 3

The airline pays you, not us

FlightPayout does not collect, touch or hold your compensation. If your claim succeeds, the airline pays the money directly into your bank account. We take no share, so nothing is deducted from it.
STEP 4

Your documents

After checkout we create documents written for your type of disruption and email them to you. They include your claim to the airline, and supporting documents for the moments when an airline pushes back, for example by blaming extraordinary circumstances. You send them yourself, so you stay in control of your claim.
STEP 5

A checkout with no surprises

One transparent flat fee of £9.99, paid securely through Stripe. There are no follow-on charges and no commission. Your details are deleted from our systems 60 seconds after your documents are emailed.

What to expect on payment

The airline decides, not us. We prepare your documents; we cannot guarantee that an airline will pay, and how long it takes varies by airline. If the airline accepts your claim, it pays you directly. If it refuses, your documents help you answer its reasons and take the claim further.
We are not a law firm. FlightPayout prepares documents and does not give legal advice or send your claim for you. That is why we can charge a flat £9.99 instead of a percentage of your payout.
